Driving Range Wins Award
Plymouth Golf Centre has been awarded the "RangeMark" accreditation for their excellence in promoting, coaching, equity and safeguarding policies in all areas at the facility. At a presentation recently, Craig Townsend the County Development Officer presented John Spry, joint owner, with the RangeMark plaque and certificate. The coaching team of Ian Marshall, Scott Macaskill and Jez Willmott were in attendance and are all integral to the Golf Centre's success.
Craig congratulated the Centre management and coaches for the hard work they have done to achieve this award. The RangeMark award is the English Golf Union stamp of approval that shows that driving ranges are an ideal starting point for the majority of newcomers to the game. They provide a variety of coaching and practice facilities and create good links with golf clubs.
Plymouth Golf Centre is the first range to be accredited with this award in the South West peninsula outside of Gloucestershire. As well as the 33 bay driving range the Golf Centre offers a putting green, short game practice area and a chip and putt course.
